How to calculate the man-of-the-match [MOM] fairly and justly with any sporting event. In most team sporting events or games played there is usually an award given for the best single player who has produced the most outstanding effort in the given game. How is the man-of-the-match fairly calculated with any sporting event? In most cases the given task is agreed upon by one  person or a select minority group. In a lot of cases the minority decision can rule over the spectator majority. Many spectators an authority figures in many sporting events have at one time or another questioned who should have received the title man-of-the-match. In some high profile sporting events, the title of man-of-the-match can bring in financial rewards, along with the weekly or yearly accolades that go with such a title.

As you follow through to the end of this document I will present to you a system that has been successfully tried an tested over a two year period. The system presented will show you how to have a fair an just MOM review of who should be given the weekly or yearly title. The system also gives real time figures on player statistics an progression throughout the sporting season. It will show manages where and when a player is doing better or worse as the season is progressing. Real time stats figures viewed from the man-of-the match system can give any coach the details needed with improvements to players and their overall positions. If a coach has moved a player into a new position, the player may or may not improve. The MOM stats will reflect those changes quickly as the season completes. The MOM system can be used for identifying advanced talented players prior to any talent identification series or try out. The MOM stats can also be used for the end of year trophies an awards night.

Benefits of the MOM system will be highlighted as you read through the document presented. To some it will be obvious that there is more than one use for the MOM system.

The MOM system is quick and easy to implement an gives both management an spectators a chance to express their unbiased opinion about how a player is progress through the current game.

NB. Before using the man-of-the-match system laid out here people should make inquiries into the rules and legalities of their own sporting body.
