Definition of Terms

Matrix
A symmetrical block of cells that go into creating a Matrix e.g. 3x3 cells equals a matrix. Matrices are made up of smaller individual matrices or cells. One matrix equals an entire block of cells.

Cell
One cell equals one single cell/square in an entire matrix. E.g. a 3 x 3 matrix is made up of 9 cells.

Group 1
Any odd value Matrix e.g. 3,5,7,9.... etc

Group 2:
Any even value Matrix that divides evenly by 4 e.g. 4 ,8, 12,16...etc

Group 3:
Any even value Matrix that does not divide evenly by 4 e.g. 6,10,14... etc

First Matrix
The first group 1 matrix is 3x3 cells in dimension.
The first group 2 matrix is 4x4 cells in dimension.
The first group 3 matrix is 6x6 cells in dimension.

Start level
The weight of very first numerical value entered into the starting cell of a matrix.

Start Cell
The cell where you begin to add the first numerical value into the matrix.

Number or Digit
The real number base you are applying to the matrix cells.

Line Value
Adding together all the individual cell values in any one line of a matrix.

Step Value
The numerical multiply value between each incremented cell value when filling in or completing a matrix.

Matrix Root
The number of cells in any one line of a matrix. E.g. 3 x 3 cells = 3 matrix root. The matrix root is also referred to as the Matrix Order.

Frequency
The line value multiplied by the matrix root = frequency. Or the total sum of every cell in the matrix.

Line options
The number of diagonal horizontal an vertical columns and rows in a matrix . E.g. 3 x 3 matrix = 3 horizontal lines, 3 vertical lines and two diagonal lines which equals 10 line options.

Left Diagonal
The diagonal line going from the first upper left cell down to the last bottom right cell.

Right Diagonal
The diagonal line starting at the top right most cell going down to the bottom left most cell.

Increment Counting
The function of counting and filling out each cell in a matrix. The increment can be in single units or multiple units signified by the step value you use.(see step value)

Balanced Matrix.
When all line values of the matrix are symmetrical in value, the matrix is said to be balanced.

Unbalanced Matrix.
An unbalanced matrix is when all line values are not symmetrical or of equal value.

Centre Cell(s)
The centre most single cell of any group 1 matrix , or the 4 centre most cells of any group 2 or group 3 matrix.

First Ring
Equals the complete ring of cells that surround any group1,2 & 3 centre most cell(s) an exclude the centre cell(s). E.g. 3x3 matrix = 9 cells. First ring = 8 cells around centre. Each enumerated successive ring of cells steps outwards from the inner most ring forever there after by multiples of 4 cells.
